The Moon

You circle the earth
Thinking it’s your universe
You chase the sun from dusk till dawn
You feel small
Around everything you have known
Though there is more to you
You are there in the darkest night
Shining alongside the stars
You bring peace and move oceans
Just as the sun brings life
You are equally important
And don’t you think otherwise
